Adding Songs

Copyright Warning

How to Add Songs

  • Add or paste songs into the area below based on the template given. If your hymnal does not appear correctly, verify that all of your formatting is correct and exactly like the template.
  • Suggestion: If you have a hymnal already typed out on your computer, format it first on your computer and then email it to yourself to paste into the app.
  • Songs should be added in order, but you may have gaps in the number sequence.
  • The chorus is optional and may be placed anywhere within the song. Multiple choruses are OK. You indicate the chorus with the letter c on its own line before the chorus.
  • Titles: You must supply all hymns with titles or no titles at all. To allow the app to make the titles for you, check "Use first line as the hymn title" and do not add any titles.
  • Inclusion of the author is optional. Just leave the line out if there is no known author for that hymn. You may also use this line for any notes you wish to have at the end of the hymn.
  • You may import a SAMPLE HYMNAL via the menu to see an example.
